Welcome to Waymart, Pa 18472. We are a pleasant town with a history. Waymart is the home of the Gravity Depot, a stop of the Delaware and Hudson Railroad. The railroad delivered coal to Honesdale where it would be shipped by canal to New York via the Delaware and Hudson Canal System in the early 1900s. As a resident you will enjoy quiet streets and the feeling of knowing your neighbor. Waymart has all the amenities and comforts of home, including many non profit organizations, churches, and clubs. This website is a source for finding out about general resources, non- profit organizations, churches, and clubs of Waymart, Pa . Please use it to your advantage. Current Issues of Waymart PA in 2004 1) In the past year Florida Power and Light has now installed windmills for power. 2) A new federal prison is being built and awaiting opening. 3) Belmont Street is getting paved and new sidewalks are being put in.
